Leadership Basics – Course L01

All of us are both leaders and followers in our personal or business lives and doing it well benefits both the team and the organisation.  Good leadership builds up those who follow enabling them to undertake their tasks more effectively and so improving decision making.

This course takes the student through the fundamental personal requirements for being a good leader, through to a wider understanding of what being a leader involves.  It encourages the student to develop self-awareness and will equip them to be able to lead more effectively enabling the team or group they lead will operate better.

Sessions 1&2 – Values & Ethics lays the foundations to good leadership by first addressing the values and ethics of a leader.  These are the attitudes that we all have, often coming from family, friends, or personal history.  These can be an asset or a hindrance to our leadership and in this course, we will teach their effect on how we lead.

Sessions 3&4 – Principles & Styles, sets out the various styles of leadership and the underlying principles that will enable the student to take their team or group forward and effectively deliver what they are tasked with.

Session 5 – Targeted Teaching, which will be configured to address the particular sectors or interests of the students enrolled.
The sessions are interactive and are presented by Frank Ferrett with input from other Christian Businesspeople who run their own businesses as well.

As active businesspeople they will add to the course material experience from their own business lives making this a great opportunity to gain knowledge, expand thinking and develop new skills.
